ince the early 1900's, a large number of Acadian descendants have left our area to find work elsewhere all over North America. We are attempting to reach as many of these as possible.

Did you know the Acadians were the first settlers to arrive in this part of North America after the Indians or as they wish to be known, the "First Nations" people? The Acadians have been here since 1604, three years later, in 1607 was the first settlement of Jamestown, Virginia, in 1608, the founding of Québec City and in 1620, the Pilgrims arrived at Plymouth Rock.

This is why we have trade-marked the expression "Seconde Nation" or in English "Second Nation" as the Acadians were the second group of people to establish themselves in North America!

The purpose for our site is to acknowledge the existence of an Acadian population in North America. Through our genealogical data base, we hope to identify those individuals and their ancestors who were born in the Acadian Peninsula in New Brunswick, Canada.

The 4th World Acadian Congress (CMA 2009) will be held from August 7th to August 23rd, 2009, in the Acadian Peninsula, in northeast New Brunswick. The purpose of the CMA 2009 is to celebrate the Acadian people’s heritage, to demonstrate the vitality of its language, culture and economy, to promote the Acadian Peninsula throughout Acadia and to strengthen the ties between Acadians from all over the world.
